Day 1 : UK/Antwerp

From your local departure point you will take an afternoon crossing to Calais. You arrive in Antwerp this evening where you will stay for three nights. Antwerp is a delightful cosmopolitan city, renowned for its diamond industry. Fascinating architecture, chic shopping centres and excellent restaurants can be found among its cobbled streets and beer lovers are sure to be tempted by the many bars serving a huge selection of superb Belgian beers.

Day 2 : Bruges

Today we include an excursion to beautiful Bruges, the capital of West Flanders. The delightful old centre has an abundance of attractions from its traditional gabled houses and majestic churches to narrow cobbled streets and picturesque canals. Don’t forget to sample some of its worldfamous chocolates, a couple of its many fine beers or its speciality dish of moules et frites. Those looking for a spot of retail therapy will discover an array of tempting shops or why not sit back and relax on a panoramic tour of the city by horse and carriage?

Day 3 : Floriade

Today you will transfer to Venlo where you will enjoy a full day exploring Floriade, a spectacular exhibition of flowers and gardening that is held in the Netherlands just once every 10 years. Prepare to be dazzled by the displays from hundreds of exhibitors who have descended upon Greenport Venlo. Five themed zones spread over 66 hectares will showcase some of the world’s most stunning flowers, plants and trees, as well as a huge variety of fruit and vegetables. Floriade 2012 also offers a varied cultural experience with a programme of dance, music, theatre, literature and visual art from all over the globe, making it an event that must not be missed.

Day 4 : Antwerp/UK

You return to Calais today for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK. You will return to your original point of departure this evening.
