14-Day Break

Day 1 – Local departure by coach then onwards to northern France for an overnight stay. 
Day 2 – Continue south to the Lake Como or Milan area, northern Italy, for an overnight stay. B,D 
Day 3 – To Pisa, then onto Montecatini, Tuscany for an overnight stay. Pisa (included). On our included visit to Pisa, join our optional guided tour to explore the area around the famous Leaning Tower. B,D 
Day 4 – To the Sorrento Peninsula area for a seven-night stay. B,D
Day 5 – Sorrento and Coastal Villages (included). Enjoy a day exploring, as we drive through valleys, mountains and terraces lined with orange and lemon trees, all descending to the sea. B,D
Day 6 –  Sorrento (included). Wander the narrow streets and harbour area, browsing the souvenir shops, or relax with a traditional Italian pastry and cappuccino. B,D
Day 7 –  Pompeii and Vesuvius (optional). Learn about Pompeii and its eventual destruction by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD. We continue to Vesuvius and our tour takes us to 3,000 feet, where you can continue on foot to the crater (there is a local charge of approx. €6.50 to visit the crater). B,D
Day 8 –  Isle of Capri (optional). Sail across the Bay of Naples to magnificent Capri, a popular home to the rich and famous. B,D
Day 9 –  Amalfi Drive (optional). ‘The most spectacular road in Europe’ offers fabulous scenery. See the lovely hillside town of Ravello, perched 350 metres above  the sea. B,D  
Day 10 – Sorrento (included). Spend another day in Sorrento, for last minute shopping and sightseeing. B,D
Day 11 – To Rome en route to Chianciano Terme for an overnight stay. Rome (included); Guided Sightseeing (optional). On our visit to the Eternal city you can join our optional guided sightseeing tour by coach and on foot which covers most of the worldfamous sights, including the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. B,D 
Day 12 – To Austria for an overnight stay, visiting Vipiteno in the Italian Alps en route. B,D
Day 13 – To Belgium for an overnight stay. B
Day 14 – Travel to Calais and return home. B

Accommodation

You’ll stay for seven nights at the family-run 3-star Hotel Mary in Vico Equense, a short drive from Sorrento. The hotel’s owner, Enzo, will be happy to show you around his small town. A local train allows easy access to/from Sorrento. There is a lift, an outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing terrace, restaurant, bar, small lounge and fantastic views over the sea. All bedrooms have a ceiling fan, telephone, T.V. and balcony. En route stays in the Lake Como/Milan area, Montecatini, Chianciano Terme and the Austrian Tyrol will be in 3-star-standard hotels.

Overnight stays in northern France and Belgium will be in city-style hotels.
