
12-Day Break
Day 1 – Local departure by coach, then travel onwards to northern France for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – Travel south to the Italian Riviera for a four-night stay. B, D
Day 3 – Riviera of Flowers (optional). Join our relaxing optional excursion offering a taste of the beautiful Mediterranean and the ‘Riviera of Flowers’. Explore the alleyways of Laigueglia and then stroll along the Budello in the thriving resort of Alassio, a haven for shoppers. B,D
Day 4 – Monaco and Monte Carlo (included). Visit the smallest and probably wealthiest sovereign state in the world with its striking Belle Epoque style casino and the famous Princès Palace. B,D
Day 5 – Portofino (optional). Enjoy our optional excursion by boat to the picturesque resort of Portofino. B,D
Day 6 – To Pisa then to Chianciano Terme in Tuscany for a four night stay. Pisa (included). En-route to Chianciano, we make a short stop in Pisa. Appreciate the world-famous sights, on our optional guided tour featuring the ‘Leaning Tower’ and the equally stunning black and white marble Duomo and Baptistry. B,D
Day 7 – Rome (included). A highlight of our tour, as we include a full-day excursion to the eternal city of Rome. Take in the breathtaking architecture of the ancient palaces and piazzas. Our optional sightseeing tour by foot and by coach will introduce you to the principal sights of the city including the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. B,D
Day 8 – Siena and San Gimignano (optional). A full-day optional excursion to two delightful Tuscan towns. Siena offers a myriad of delights, and is one of the highlights of any visit to Tuscany. Explore the Piazza del Campo and see the famous Duomo. We continue to the charming hilltop town of San Gimignano, with its beautiful views over the rolling Tuscan countryside. B,D
Day 9 – Assisi and Gubbio (included). A full-day included excursion around Umbria, the ‘Green Heart of Italy’. We head to Assisi, world famous as the native town of St Francis. Visit the Basilica featuring frescoes by Giotto, before a scenic drive through the Umbrian countryside to medieval Gubbio, one of the region’s most ancient towns. B,D
Day 10 – To Florence then continue to the Milan/Lake Como area for an overnight stay. Florence (included). Florence is the artistic capital of Italy with fashionable shops, museums, cafés and splendid architecture. Join our optional guided tour to get the most from your visit. B,D
Day 11 – To northern France for an overnight stay B
Day 12 – Travel to Calais, then return home. B

Accommodation
In Diano Marina, you will stay for four nights at the 3-star Hotel Mediterraneo, or similar. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the beach and the heart of the resort with its shops, bars and restaurants.
You will then stay for four nights in the spa town of Chianciano Terme at the 3-star Hotel Mizar, or similar. Both hotels have a swimming pool, bar and restaurant and the Mediterraneo has a lift. All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
Overnight stays in northern France and northern Italy will be in city-style hotels.
