6-Day Break

• Day 1 – Local departure by coach then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland, and on to Kilkenny for a four-night stay. D
• Day 2 – Kilkenny Explore the attractive city of Kilkenny on the banks of the River Nore, with its Elizabethan architecture and winding passages and lanes. The Canal Walk provides views of the fine 18th century Kilkenny College buildings but the most prominent feature is the imposing castle, with its three drum towers, which now houses an art gallery. • Day 3 – Waterford Waterford lays claim to being Ireland’s oldest city, with viking origins, and the many landmarks include Reginald’s Tower, St. Patrick’s Church and the City Hall. B,D
• Day 4 – Rock Of Cashel & Cahir We head to the Rock of Cashel, visited by The Queen in 2011 and regarded as one of Ireland’s most spectacular sights, with its ancient castle ruins. We continue our circular route to the pretty town of Cahir, boasting one of the largest and bestpreserved castles in Ireland. Later we visit the Tipperary market towns of Clonmel and Carrick-on-Suir, before returning past Booley Hills to Kilkenny. B,D
• Day 5 – Dublin; Dublin Sightseeing Tour We leave Kilkenny and head to Dublin, where our optional sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of the capital, including Trinity College, Grafton Street and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. B
• Day 6 – We journey to Holyhead. We continue our journey home. B*

Accommodation

You’ll stay for four nights at the 3-star Springhill Court, located on the outskirts of Kilkenny.

The Claddagh Restaurant serves excellent food in elegant surroundings. All bedrooms have telephone, T.V., hairdryer and tea/coffee-making facilities.

The hotel boasts a leisure centre with swimming pool, sauna and gym.

Overnight stay in Dublin area will be in a 3-star city-style hotel
