Discover the Jewel of Ireland

Discover the Jewel of Ireland

The vibrant town of Killarney, known as the 'Jewel of Ireland', is rich not only in stunning scenery, but also the warmth of Irish hospitality. Join us and experience the dramatic landscapes, the majesty of grand mountain ranges and the allure of shimmering, mystical lakes.

Your Itinerary

Day 1: From home to Llanberis
Let the holiday begin as we drive over the Welsh Border as we spend our first night at the Legacy Royal Victoria Hotel.
Day 2: From Llanberis to Killarney via Holyhead
We set off early to catch our ferry from Holyhead over to Ireland and continue westward to reach Killarney, the 'Jewel of Ireland', where we stay for four nights at the International Hotel, a charming hotel at the heart of beautiful Killarney. You are sure of a warm welcome!
Day 3: The Ring of Kerry - a holiday highlight!
Today we're in for a treat as we set off on a sensational one hundred mile coastal drive taking in some of the most breathtaking and awe-inspiring landscapes along the Atlantic Coast. Just sit back in comfort and take in the sights as they serenely roll past... pretty coastal villages, thriving market towns and sights of historic and archaeological interest. Our grand journey returns through the famed Molls Gap, Ladies View and Killarney National Park - you won't be disappointed.
Day 4: Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head
Another great day is ahead as we go west to Slea Head, from where we can see the 'next parish to America'... the name affectionately given to the outlying Blasket Islands. Then it's off to the Dingle Peninsula - this rugged coastline and dramatic landscape was the location for the epic film 'Ryan's Daughter'. There's so much to see: ancient historic sites, early Christian dwellings and the picturesque fishing harbour town of Dingle - don't forget your camera.
Day 5: A day of leisure in Killarney
You decide what to do today - a ride on the famous jaunting car maybe? A lake cruise perhaps? Killarney is a vibrant town and a delight to explore!
Day 6: From Killarney to Dublin
We say goodbye to Killarney before travelling through Ireland to reach the cosmopolitan city of Dublin. There we settle in for an overnight stay at the lovely Skylon Hotel, on the outskirts of the city.
Day 7: From Dublin to Caernarfon via Holyhead
We have some time in Dublin this morning before we bid farewell to Ireland and sail back over to Holyhead and on into North Wales where we have an overnight stay at the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon.
Day 8: It's time to head home
After breakfast it's homeward bound with wonderful memories of the Emerald Isle. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
