
8-Day Break
Day 1 – Local departure by coach, then travel overnight through Germany.
Day 2 – Into Poland past Wroclaw and Katowice, to arrive in Zakopane and our hotel for five nights. D
Day 3 – Zakopane (included). Spend a leisurely day amongst the breathtaking landscape of the Tatras Mountains and the pretty resort of Zakopane. Though a popular holiday town, the resort retains a unique charm with strong local traditions and folklore customs. B,D
Day 4 – Krakow (included). Today we head to Krakow. Enjoy an optional guided tour of Krakow’s Old Town, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Market Square, one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, and deserving of its place among the most beautiful in the world, is the focal point of the city, divided by the imposing Gothic style Cloth Hall. Later enjoy time at leisure and perhaps a walk up Wawel Hill, which takes you to the Royal Cathedral, one of Poland’s greatest buildings, with over 40 of Poland’s Kings buried here. B,D
Day 5 – Auschwitz (optional). A free day in Zakopane or join our poignant optional excursion to Auschwitz, the largest of the Nazi concentration camps preserved in order, so that mankind never forgets the atrocities committed here, Auschwitz remains a hugely emotional experience. B,D
Day 6 – Morskie Oko (optional). Join our optional excursion to Morskie Oko Lake, the largest and best-known lake in the Polish Tatras. Enjoy the scenic ride as we pass breathtaking mountain peaks and dramatic natural scenery. To get closer to the lake, we take a horse and carriage ride to Polana Wlosienica, which is approximately a mile from the lake and the rest of the journey is covered on foot. B,D
Day 7 – We leave Zakopane and retrace our steps through Germany on our overnight journey. B
Day 8 – Arrive in Calais and return home.

Accommodation
You’ll stay for five nights at the 3-star Hotel Sabala in Zakopane. The hotel is the oldest in Zakopane and is built in the traditional wooden style, typical of the region. Located in the heart of the resort on the main street, the ‘Krupowki’, the hotel has a restaurant and bar. All bedrooms are furnished with T.V., radio and hairdryer.
