Day 1 – Local departure by coach then onward to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – En route to Berlin visit Möhne Dam, of Dambusters fame, evening Sightseeing (optional). An evening sightseeing tour takes in all the major sights in Berlin’s historical centre, including the Berlin Cathedral, Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall. for an overnight stay. B
Day 3 – To Warsaw, Poland, for a two-night stay. B,D
Day 4 – Warsaw (included). Almost obliterated from the map during the Second World War, then remarkably rebuilt in only 13 years, Poland’s pretty capital is an absolute gem. Our optional guided sightseeing tour, with local Englishspeaking guide, takes in the famous sights and the monuments at the heart of this robust nation. B,D
Day 5 – To Vilnius, Lithuania, for a two-night stay. B,D
Day 6 – Vilnius with Guided Walking Tour (included); Trakai Castle (optional). Our local guide meets us and we take a walking tour through this cosmopolitan city with its diverse architecture. The Old Town area is one of the largest in Europe and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994. The buildings and monuments have been built over many centuries and there are examples of architecture from various styles and eras. In the afternoon you can enjoy an optional tour to the island castle of Trakai, formerly a major political and administrative centre in Lithuania, which has been restored during the 20th century and now houses the Trakai History Museum. Day 7 – To Riga, Latvia, for a one-night stay. B,D
Day 8 – Riga (included). Once known as the ‘small Paris’, the city of Riga is a delightful mixture of medieval ambience and a modern cosmopolitan metropolis. Our optional guided walking tour reveals the many sights before travelling to Tallinn, Estonia for a two-night stay. B,D
Day 9 – Tallinn with Guided Walking Tour (included). Our included half-day walking tour with local guide will help you to see the major sights, including the Town Hall, one of the oldest in Europe, St. Nicholas Church, Toompea Palace and the old city walls. Afternoon at leisure to explore the sights independently. B,D
Day 10 – By ferry to Helsinki (included). After arriving from Tallinn you will have some free time to enjoy Finland’s capital city of Helsinki before departing to Stockholm on the overnight ferry. B
Day 11 – Arrive Stockholm, then travel to Copenhagen, Denmark, for a one-night stay. B,D
Day 12 – Copenhagen (included). With our Danish guide we will see the main sights of this ‘wonderful’ city, including the statue of the ‘Little Mermaid’, the Royal Theatre and Christiansborg Castle, then to Rodbyhavn for the ferry to Puttgarden, Germany. Continue to our hotel in northern Germany for an overnight stay. B,D
Day 13 – To Belgium for an overnight stay. B
Day 14 – To Calais then return home. B

You’ll spend one night at the 3-star Hotel Grünau on the outskirts of Berlin; two nights at the 3-star Hotel Felix or similar in Warsaw; two nights at the 3-star Hotel Karolina or similar in Vilnius; one night at the 3-star Hotel Baltpark or similar in Riga; two nights at the 3-star Hotel Unique Mikhli or similar in Tallinn; overnight on the cruise ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm in a 2-berth cabin and one night at the 3-star Glostrup Park Hotel or similar in Copenhagen.
Overnight stays in northern Germany and Belgium are in city-style hotels.
