5-Day Break

• Dec 23 – Local departure by coach, then to South Yorkshire for a four night stay. On arrival, enjoy mulled wine and mince pies and a welcome evening of dancing. D
• Christmas Eve – Peak District & Buxton (included). Enjoy a morning of breathtaking scenery as we tour the Peak District, which sits on the doorstep of Sheffield. We head to Buxton, the historic spa town in the heart of the High Peaks and Bakewell, famous for its traditional pudding! This evening we enjoy festive bingo at the hotel. B, D
• Christmas Day – Matlock Bath (included). After breakfast, this morning we include a scenic drive to Matlock Bath. Enjoy a short stroll around this pretty village, before returning to our hotel for Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings. A leisurely afternoon follows, with games including ‘guess the weight of the cake’ and bingo. Tonight we enjoy a buffet dinner and quiz. B, L, D
• Boxing Day – Eyam (optional). Enjoy an optional morning excursion to the preserved village of Eyam, forever associated with the Plague. In 1665 the village was struck by the Bubonic Plague and went into voluntary isolation. Explore the charming old streets, which play host to some fine buildings, including the Norman Church and Eyam Hall. Return to our hotel for an afternoon quiz and treasure hunt. Tonight we enjoy a farewell dinner and disco. B, D
• Dec 27 – Return journey to your original joining point. B

Accommodation

You’ll stay for three or four nights at the 3-star Holiday Inn Rotherham-Sheffield. The hotel has a restaurant, indoor pool with sauna, steam room and gym. All bedrooms are equipped with T.V., telephone and hairdryer.
